UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE Customer Service Terms and Conditions

Scope of application
第1条
These General Terms and Conditions of Use are governed by the Terms and Conditions of Toei Uzumasa Eigamura Co.,Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "us"). This agreement applies to customers who use UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE (hereinafter referred to as "UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE") operated by (hereinafter referred to as "the Company"). (hereinafter referred to as "the Company").

ticket

- A ticket is required to park admission UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE. You may be asked to show the ticket you used to park admission in the park.
- Information regarding ticket sales (including ticket types, prices, and sales dates) will be provided on UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE official website (hereinafter referred to as the "official website").
- The terms of sale set by each ticket seller will apply to the conditions for the conclusion of the sales contract, payment methods, delivery methods, refund conditions, etc.
- If it is confirmed that tickets have been resold for profit, this will constitute a violation of these terms and conditions and the terms of use for our online reservation and purchase service. As a result, the ticket in question and all tickets purchased by the person involved in the fraudulent resale (regardless of whether they were originally intended for resale) will be invalidated. In this case, you will not be able to park admission with the ticket in question or any of the invalidated tickets, and we will not be able to provide any refunds or other compensation.

- When using UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE, customers are required to comply with these terms and conditions, as well as the notices displayed at each facility and service, and any requests from our company or UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE employees (hereinafter referred to as "staff").

- Terms of use and operating details for each facility and service will be posted at each location, on the official website, and on UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE official social media accounts (hereinafter referred to as "official social media").
- The terms of use and operating details of each facility and service may be changed without prior notice.
- Some facilities and services require advance registration at the facility, booking through the official website, and advance payment by credit card. Additionally, some facilities and services within in the park do not accept registrations on the day of park admission.
- The available payment methods vary depending on the facility or service.
- Customers are responsible for any communication charges incurred when installing or viewing related materials and information from official websites, official social media accounts, etc.

- Operating hours vary from facility to facility.

Regarding park admission to UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE
第6条
- Depending on the level of congestion within in the park, we may restrict park admission to visitors. In this case, park admission who do not possess a guaranteed park admission ticket, such as a date-specific ticket (however, even with such a ticket, park admission may be park admission due to the limits on the number of park admission as stipulated in Article 13) will not be allowed park admission.
- Even if you have made reservations or advance bookings for restaurants or services within in the park, park admission to in the park is not guaranteed. Please prepare a separate park admission ticket that guarantees park admission, such as a date-specific ticket.

Prohibited acts

- Customers are prohibited from engaging in the following actions when using UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE. Violations of this clause will be judged by the company based on reasonable grounds.
- Actions that disturb other customers, actions that interfere with the business or operation of UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE and its related facilities, and actions that may potentially cause such disturbances are prohibited.
※Specific examples- Unauthorized park admission and unauthorized use, forgery, or alteration of tickets (including only parts of the ticket such as QR codes)
- Unauthorized use of credit cards, electronic money, etc.
- Damaging facility equipment, decorations, etc.
- Harassment, verbal abuse, or violence towards staff
- Making false statements to staff
- Use of tickets obtained through illegal resale as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 4
- Transferring or exchanging tickets (including only parts of tickets such as 2D codes) and rights to use attractions, entertainment programs, facilities, and services (including advance reservations and numbered product purchase tickets) between customers, and the exchange of money associated with such transactions.
- Sale and display of goods and provision of services
- Commercial activities (except as permitted by our company)
- Purchasing products for the purpose of resale
- Distribution of flyers, etc.
- Rallies, speeches, events, and performances
- Commercial filming
- Filming in locations where filming is restricted by our company, filming rehearsals, or other events other than the actual show
- Taking photographs or publicly transmitting them in a way that may cause inconvenience to other customers
- Using auxiliary equipment such as monopods, tripods, or selfie sticks in a manner that inconveniences other customers (Please refer to "Show Event Photography Rules" for rules regarding photography at show events.)
- Dangerous activities such as running UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE
- Smoking outside designated smoking areas
- Climbing or hanging from decorations, fences, etc.
- Feeding or touching wild birds and other animals
- Use of attractions that our company prohibits use while under the influence of alcohol.
- Photographing in wedding attire or attire that is similar or could be mistaken for wedding attire (cocktail dresses, etc.)
- Stopping performers while they are preparing for a performance or while they are on the move to take photographs and talk to them
- Presenting gifts to the performers
Please refer to the "Rules Regarding Receiving Gifts for Performers" in advance for more details. - Any act violating the terms of use set forth by our company for each attraction facility (prohibition of bringing in food and drinks, prohibition of photography, prohibition of the use of mobile phones, etc.)
- Entering the park admission without clothing, excessive skin exposure, or wearing special clothing without prior permission is prohibited.
- Any behavior that causes inconvenience to other customers (dangerous behavior, cutting in line, joining a queue)
- Using a locker without locking it
*Locker usage fees are as displayed on the locker being used. If luggage is found without a key, we will temporarily protect and store it. Luggage temporarily stored by us will be returned in exchange for the locker usage fee. We will not be liable for any damage or soiling of luggage temporarily stored by us unless the cause is due to our willful misconduct or gross negligence.
- Any act that infringes or may infringe the copyrights, trademarks, publicity rights, other intellectual property rights, property rights, trade secrets, privacy, portrait rights, or other rights of other customers, third parties, the Company, affiliates, staff, Toei Corporation, or related companies.
- Any act that violates or may violate laws, regulations, or public order and morals
- Actions that disturb other customers, actions that interfere with the business or operation of UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE and its related facilities, and actions that may potentially cause such disturbances are prohibited.
- The following items are prohibited from being brought into this facility. Violations of this clause will be judged by our company based on reasonable grounds.
- Items generally considered dangerous, such as knives, explosives, and prohibited drugs (including counterfeit goods), items that may endanger other customers (including weapons and weapons, knives, firearms, model guns, airsoft guns, tear gas sprays, stun guns, flammable liquids, explosives, high-pressure gases, poisons, combustible materials, radioactive materials, other harmful materials, and items that may explode, ignite, or generate toxic gases), and vehicles (including bicycles, kick scooters, skateboards such as RipStiks, roller skates, etc.) are prohibited.
- Play equipment such as bats, balls, frisbees, and badminton rackets.
- Drones, radio-controlled aircraft, wireless devices, etc.
- Bringing in alcoholic beverages and food is prohibited (except in cases where there are dietary restrictions such as weaning food for infants or food allergies).
- Cans and bottles (except in cases of dietary restrictions such as food allergies).
- Pets and animals (excluding service animals) are not allowed in the park admission.
- Anything else that may interfere with the business or operation of this facility or its related facilities, or cause inconvenience to other customers.
(Regarding the bringing of handheld microphones (loudspeakers) by tour guides, please consult with the sales department in advance. Depending on the circumstances, we may be able to accommodate your request.)
- Customers are prohibited from engaging in the following actions when using UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE. Violations of this clause will be judged by the company based on reasonable grounds.

Please adhere to these guidelines regarding giving gifts to performers, filming-related matters, and other important information.

Refusal of park admission, expulsion, etc.

- We reserve the right to refuse park admission, ask you to leave, invalidate your park admission ticket, deny you access to attractions, entertainment programs, facilities, or services, and prohibit any future transactions with us (including, but not limited to, ticket purchases, park admission to UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE, and purchases of goods or services) and entry onto our premises in the following cases. (Hereinafter, these actions are collectively referred to as "our actions.") Violations of this clause will be judged by us based on reasonable grounds. In addition, we may ask to see identification documents (such as a driver's license, health insurance card, or passport) when taking our actions.
- When a prohibited act as defined in Article 7 occurs
- When you do not comply with the precautions displayed at each facility or service or requests made by staff.
- When you violate these terms and conditions (rules and etiquette).
- When the customer falls under any of the following reasons:
- Organized crime groups, members of organized crime groups, persons who have not yet passed five years since leaving an organized crime group, associate members of organized crime groups, persons related to organized crime groups, corporate racketeers, and other anti-social forces (hereinafter referred to as "organized crime groups, etc.").
- Corporations or other organizations whose business activities are controlled by organized crime groups, etc., or their members
- A corporation or its members whose officers are members of organized crime groups, etc.
- We reserve the right to refuse park admission, ask you to leave, invalidate your park admission ticket, deny you access to attractions, entertainment programs, facilities, or services, and prohibit any future transactions with us (including, but not limited to, ticket purchases, park admission to UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE, and purchases of goods or services) and entry onto our premises in the following cases. (Hereinafter, these actions are collectively referred to as "our actions.") Violations of this clause will be judged by us based on reasonable grounds. Maintenance and Inspection

- Upon park admission, guests must undergo security checks, including baggage inspections and clothing checks, if deemed necessary by the company (hereinafter collectively referred to as "security checks").
- If you do not comply with the security checks described above, you will be denied entry to park admission or your baggage.
- For security reasons, we may check your belongings while you are in the park.

If any of the following items apply to your clothing (including shoes), you may be refused park admission or asked to leave the village.
- Anything that may provoke or cause inconvenience to other customers
- Full-face masks or other items that obscure most of the face (except those required for medical purposes)
- Those with hems that drag excessively on the ground.
- Exposed tattoos containing objectionable words or designs
- Clothing that could be mistaken for a character or cast member
- Anything that constitutes commercial advertising
- No clothing, excessive skin exposure, or special clothing without prior permission
- Cosplay and full costumes are permitted for those 13 and over (individual rules may apply depending on the event).

Handling of personal information

- Our company manages customer personal information obtained through our operations in accordance with our established privacy policy.
- Filming may take place UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE, including at various facilities and programs. In such cases, you may be included in the filming. Furthermore, the footage may be used for news reporting, advertising, promotion, and merchandise sales, but in a manner that does not identify individual customers.
- UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE has installed security cameras for safety purposes. Images and videos captured by these cameras will be strictly managed in accordance with our company regulations and deleted after a certain period of time.
- You may use any photos or videos you take within UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE for personal use only, provided that it does not disturb other customers.
- Some attractions will take photographs of guests while they are using the attraction and sell these photographs. In addition, some attractions may take photographs of guests for the purpose of showcasing them within the attraction.

Regarding suspension, village closure, etc.

- If any of the following events occur, we reserve the right to cancel, suspend, suspend, or change all or part of UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE, change (shorten, etc.) operating hours, limit the number of park admission, or temporarily close the Village for a period of time as necessary without prior notice to customers.
- When carrying out safety, technical or system maintenance of facilities
- If it becomes difficult to operate UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE due to natural disasters, fires, power outages (including planned power outages), suspension of public transportation, etc.
- If it becomes difficult to operate the Facility due to reasons not attributable to our company, such as the spread of an infectious disease, a request from a government agency to reduce or suspend operations, or other administrative guidance.
- If the Company determines that any other event equivalent to any of the preceding items has occurred.
- In the event that the customer suffers damage as a result of the preceding paragraph, we shall not be liable unless we and our affiliated companies are obligated to compensate for the damages under applicable laws and regulations.
- If any of the following events occur, we reserve the right to cancel, suspend, suspend, or change all or part of UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE, change (shorten, etc.) operating hours, limit the number of park admission, or temporarily close the Village for a period of time as necessary without prior notice to customers.

Our liability and exemption
第14条
- If we cause you damage during your use of UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE due to reasons attributable to us, we will be liable to compensate you for such damage, excluding special damages and lost profits. However, this shall not apply if the damage is caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence.
- Except in cases where we or our affiliated companies are legally obligated to compensate for accidents caused by customer negligence or disputes between customers, we will not be held liable. Please manage your valuables and personal belongings at your own risk. Please be especially careful if you are using a stroller.
- Due to inclement weather, natural disasters, power outages, infectious disease control measures, maintenance and inspections, safety measures, crowd management, park operating conditions, and other unavoidable circumstances, the operation, operating hours, duration, content, usage, and viewing methods of attractions, museums, shops, restaurants, entertainment programs, and services may be changed, canceled, or shortened without prior notice.
- Products, restaurant menus, and services are subject to change without notice. Products may also be out of stock, discontinued, temporarily suspended, or have limited availability depending on inventory levels. Restaurant menus and services may be discontinued or temporarily suspended depending on operational circumstances.
- Even if the customer suffers damage due to the reasons stated in the preceding two paragraphs, neither our company nor our affiliated companies shall be held liable. In this case, we will not refund the purchase price of tickets or compensate for any other expenses incurred by the customer.
- Even if a customer suffers damage as a result of our actions as stipulated in Article 9 or the measures as stipulated in Article 10, we shall not be liable unless the damage is attributable to our company or our affiliated companies. In this case, we will not refund the purchase price of tickets or any other expenses paid by the customer.

Customer Responsibilities

If the Company suffers damage due to the customer's willful misconduct or negligence, the customer shall compensate the Company for the damage.

Copyright and other rights
第16条
All rights, including ownership and copyright, to the information, such as leaflets, provided by our company to customers when using UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE belong to our company. However, any rights contained therein that belong to a third party will continue to belong to the third party.

Governing Law
第17条
The establishment, validity, performance and interpretation of these terms and conditions shall be governed by Japanese law.

language
第18条
These terms and conditions have been prepared in Japanese and translations into other languages, including English, have been prepared based on them. However, in the event of any discrepancy between the Japanese and other language translations, the Japanese provisions shall apply.

Jurisdiction
第19条
If a dispute arises between you and our company regarding these terms and conditions, the Kyoto District Court or the Kyoto Summary Court shall be the agreed court of first instance with exclusive jurisdiction.

Changes to the Terms and Conditions
第20条
Our company may change these terms and conditions at any time in accordance with Article 548-4 of the Civil Code in connection with the establishment, revision, or abolition of facilities, entertainment programs, tickets, or services at UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE, changes to notices, terms of use, fees, revisions or abolitions of applicable laws and regulations, and changes in social conditions. If changes are made, we will announce or notify customers of the content and effective date by posting them on our official website and official social media accounts.

We will continue to strive to build better relationships with all of you. However, in the event that any conduct constituting customer harassment is confirmed, we will take action in accordance with this basic policy.

Basic Policy
We aim for UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE to become a place where visitors can enjoy entertainment safely and comfortably, by offering them a new story that takes them "as if they've wandered into Edo period Kyoto."
Therefore, we will respond sincerely and honestly to any opinions or suggestions from our customers.
On the other hand, we will take a firm and systematic stance against customer harassment, as it is an act that severely undermines the human rights and working environment of our staff. -
Definition of Customer Harassment
Based on the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's "Customer Harassment Countermeasures Corporate Manual," our company defines customer harassment as complaints or actions from customers or third parties (including business partners, etc.) directed at staff that "are inappropriate in terms of content, means, and manner in light of general social norms and common sense, and that physically or mentally harm the working environment of staff."

Responding to Customer Harassment
If any behavior that constitutes customer harassment occurs, we will first ask the customer to stop.
If the problematic behavior continues, we may, based on reasonable grounds and a reasonable judgment, refuse your use of our services.
Furthermore, we will consult with the police and other appropriate authorities and take strict action against any malicious behavior or criminal acts. -
Regarding giving gifts to the performers, filming-related matters, and other important information.
Please note that this policy may be revised in the future, taking into account actual events.

Rules regarding receiving gifts for performers
Gifts for the main cast members will, in principle, only be accepted at designated receiving locations (such as the Information) at UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE. Staff will check the contents of any received gifts to ensure they do not contain any dangerous or prohibited items before handing them over to the cast members. Even after checking the contents, the management reserves the right to return or dispose of gifts instead of giving them to the cast members. In principle, gifts will be returned via cash on delivery. Cast members are not permitted to receive gifts directly from customers.
Examples of prohibited gifts- Cash, gift certificates, vouchers, prepaid cards, cryptocurrencies, etc.
- Items deemed to be of high value (criteria will be determined separately by the management)
- Food and beverages (including unopened, commercially available products)
- Hazardous materials, knives, chemicals, firearms
- Items containing personal information (contact information, address, social media accounts, etc.)
- Other items that staff deem inappropriate or dangerous.
We will refuse to accept any items that fall under the above categories.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. -
Photography rules for show events
To ensure a safe and comfortable environment, please cooperate with the following rules when filming.
How to take photos
- Please hold your own equipment by hand when taking photos. For safety reasons, please refrain from placing equipment on the floor or supporting it with your belongings.
- The use of tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks is prohibited in principle.
*Hand grips that fit in your hand (such as GoPro) can be used. - Please use your camera (including any auxiliary equipment) in front of your body so as not to obstruct the view of passengers behind you.
- Please refrain from holding the camera above your head or holding it to the side of your face or body while taking pictures.
- Photography using flash or lighting equipment is prohibited.
Prohibitions
The following actions are prohibited.
- Filming and publishing for commercial purposes
- Filming or publishing that could lead to copyright infringement or defamation.
- Photography that disturbs other customers
- Taking and publishing photographs that may infringe on the privacy of customers or specific employees who are not related to the photographer.
- Live streaming from within the facility
- Filming inside the toilet
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

For customers using lockers
- If you wish to leave your luggage, please use the lockers (for a fee) located within UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE.
Click here for details - Lockers are available at the main entrance UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE and Satsueisho Entrance. Please note that the number of lockers is limited.
- Please be careful to manage your valuables carefully.
- If you wish to leave your luggage, please use the lockers (for a fee) located within UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE.

Regarding smoking areas
To ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all our guests, we have implemented a smoking ban at UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE. Please smoke only in designated areas with ashtrays. Please refrain from smoking while walking. (Even if you have a portable ashtray, please use the designated smoking area.) Smoking by minors is prohibited by law. We may ask for proof of age.

Regarding the prohibition of reserving seats
Staying up overnight or lining up before the village opens, or reserving spots for shows and events, is prohibited due to concerns about disturbing other guests and for safety reasons.
- Leaving a spot unattended for extended periods: Leaving leisure sheets, luggage, stuffed animals, etc., unattended is prohibited in principle. If you reserve a spot with only luggage, it may be removed by staff as lost property.
- Securing excessive space: The act of reserving a large space with sheets that is disproportionate to the number of people.
- Waiting before the designated time: Securing a spot well before the start time of the parade or show.
- Reserving space in pathways and planted areas: Placing luggage on pathways or entering planted areas.

Facility usage information
- At each facility, we reserve the right to refuse park admission to anyone wearing clothing that could compromise the safety of the facility's operation or cause fear or discomfort to other guests. The decision to allow park admission will be at the discretion of the staff at each facility.
- For safety reasons, you may be asked to remove part of your costume or accessories when experiencing the attraction.

Terms of use for photography
The following photography rules are prohibited in order to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all guests.
- Toei Uzumasa Eigamura Co.,Ltd. assumes no responsibility whatsoever for the publication or announcement of any photographs or videos taken.
- Taking photos or videos for the purpose of profit or promotion for companies, organizations, or individuals requires prior confirmation and permission.
- If money is exchanged for photos or videos in which UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE is recognized as the background, a photography fee will be charged to our company. For the same reason, we ask that you refrain from hiring an external photographer and accompanying them for photography, even for personal enjoyment.
- Please refrain from taking photos that include other guests or that clearly show the names of companies or products other than UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE. If photos are posted on social media or elsewhere with other people or products visible, we will not be able to take any action.
- Please refrain from occupying a specific location for extended periods, or from using large equipment or involving large groups for filming.

Rules at UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE on the day
- Please be responsible for your own belongings and valuables. We cannot accept any responsibility for loss or theft.
- Please refrain from the following disruptive behaviors that may endanger or cause anxiety to other guests: (e.g., impersonating staff, dangerous behavior that disrupts the progress of attractions or shows, behavior that surprises other guests, distributing sweets or other items, etc.)
- As a general rule, bringing in outside food and drinks is prohibited (however, group food and drinks are permitted only in the group space if communicated at the time of booking. Also, guests with allergies are permitted to bring their own food and drinks upon entry).
