The first year of the Genji era was the time when Shinsengumi warrior, the armed police force of the Edo shogunate, began to make a name for themselves with incidents such as the "Ikedaya Incident." It is a joyous day, and Japanese Traditional Bridal Procession of Tomiko, the daughter of the Kyoto Nishimachi Magistrate, is taking place. The whole village is celebrating, and the villagers are talking about this event.
