Instructor Profile

Risa Adachi, percussionist, marimba player, and workshop designer

She studied classical music from a young age, graduating from the Music Department of Nara Prefectural Takamado High School and the Faculty of Music at Kobe College, and completing her postgraduate studies at the same university's Graduate School of Music.
With the motto "Bringing smiles to people through music!", they are working hard every day to play Japanese taiko drums and percussion instruments from all over the world. They were also involved in playing the djembe at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, and last year they performed in over 100 shows.

At UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE, I teach a fun and easy-to-understand Japanese taiko drumming class.
Anyone who plays the drums becomes a musician.
Let's all make as much noise as we can!
