The history of UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE
Kyoto is said to be the birthplace of Japanese movies. Uzumasa, which has come to be known as the Hollywood of Japan, is where UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE was born as Japan's first theme park where you can watch live filming.
Access
UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE is easily accessible from Kyoto city, and can be reached in about 30 minutes by train or bus from Kyoto Station or Arashiyama. It is also conveniently located within walking distance of the station.

The entire show, including costumes and wigs, is designed to give you a sense of Japanese culture.

The realistic scenery of Kyoto was created by staff at Toei Studios Kyoto / Toei Kyoto Studios, which produces Jidaigeki (period drama).
Other attractions include the Bukeyashiki (Samurai Residence) that is reminiscent of the Edo period and an arched bridge.
