UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE will undergo a complete renovation between 2024 and 2028. (The first phase will open in spring 2026, with subsequent construction work to begin sequentially.)

The concept is "Bringing Japanese stories to the world." Based on the filmmaking assets that Kyoto Studio has cultivated over the years - technology, open sets, and actors - the studio will absorb new people, ideas, and things to create a new story called "Kyoto."

After the renovation, the facility will be updated from a place to "watch" Japanese culture to a place to "experience." Through new "experiences" such as food and drink, merchandise sales, and entertainment, the facility aims to enable customers from all over the world to enjoy Toei style Jidaigeki (period drama), and to become a village that will remain beloved for the next 50 years.

We are looking for partners to create the following new "experiences."

Food and beverage/store planning

This job involves creating new food experiences at UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE. After the park opens in spring 2026, you will work with the owners of approximately 10 new restaurants to create a new food street at UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE. By researching new needs in the world, you will propose ideas to the new restaurants. Together, we will create a one-of-a-kind food street in Kyoto where new food experiences can be had.

Product and sales planning

This job involves creating a new shopping experience at UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE. After the park opens in spring 2026, you will plan the overall concept, develop original products that embody it, and cultivate new business partners. With the aim of making shopping at UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE a major destination for customers and a pillar of revenue for UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE, you will plan operations that take into account both the value of the experience and business viability.

Entertainment and experience planning

This job involves creating new entertainment experiences at UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE. After the park opens in spring 2026, you will work with actors from the studio and external production teams to produce a show that will become the new face of UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE, combining the four seasons of Kyoto with Jidaigeki (period drama). At the same time, you will also manage the progress of projects for new attraction facilities. You will deliver "Jidaigeki (period drama) as an experience" to young people and overseas visitors.

Park operation planning

This job involves the operation and management of the entire park and guest services at UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE. After its opening in 2026, the park will be reborn as an "immersive experience park for adults" that can be enjoyed by international visitors and adult visitors in their 20s and 30s, in addition to the traditional families and school trip groups. Aiming to be a park loved by this wide range of customers, the park will be operated with hospitality that makes the most Toei and Kyoto spirit.
