In 1992, he created "Maro Akaji's Panorama Mystery House" at Korakuen Amusement Park (now Tokyo Dome City Attractions), and since then he has been creating haunted houses for about 30 years, totaling over 100.
By bringing back the "cast" to the haunted house, the original fun has been revived, and by adding the elements of "story" and "mission," it has been transformed into entertainment that adults can enjoy.
His representative works include "Panorama Mystery House - Baby Hell," a haunted house where you walk around holding a baby; "City A Near Tokyo - The Cursed House," which is a real abandoned house that was relocated; "The Scary Black Hair House," where you progress by combing the hair of a ghost; "The House of Leg-Cutting," where you experience the experience of taking off your shoes; and "The House of Finger-Picking," where you make a pinky promise with the dead.
His books include "Why are people scared?" (Media Factory), "Why do people line up at haunted houses? - Business planning ideas that attract customers through fear" (Kadokawa One Theme 21), the novel "Possessed Teeth - The House of Mitsu No. 7" (Gentosha Bunko), and the novel "The Woman with Cursed Hair Connecting to Fear" (Gakken Plus).
